Track 17: IT Infrastructure for Business Services
New requirements on the IT infrastructure arise from the combination of business processes and their supporting IT-Services in the context of business service management. In order to fulfill the requirements, innovative infrastructure management approaches can be deployed. Related issues are, among others, how requirements regarding the availability of business processes can be mapped to IT services and whether parts of an IT infrastructure have to be designed in an industry-specific way. Additionally, legacy systems have to be taken into account as is the case with all structural considerations in the IT area. Furthermore, new challenges arise for both IT Governance and economic assessment of IT services and the IT infrastructure. We invite high quality submissions of papers describing original and unpublished results of theoretical, empirical, conceptual and experimental research in the following areas.
Possible topics:
- Design of IT infrastructures for business services
- Architectures for the IT infrastructure of business services esp. grid-based and open-source-based infrastructures
- Provision of business services based on legacy systems
- Industry-specific IT infrastructures
- Frameworks, methods, tools and standards for IT infrastructure management
- Economic assessment of IT infrastructures
- Mapping of business process level SLAs to the IT infrastructure level
- IT infrastructure governance
