Track 37:  E-Health

There are mutual challenging goals towards information technologies and healthcare. These challenges are of two orders. On one side, care efficiency. Efficiency means the highest quality possible for the best economic investment. This aspect is becoming even more important as ICT is increasingly seen as the way to save a healthcare system confronted to high pressures on costs, severe criticism on quality. On the other side, societal and behavioural aspects. The emergence of information technologies in healthcare can be seen as intrusive, sometimes pervasive. It is always changing existing structures and processes.

Mögliche Themen sind:
  • Business applications and scenarios of IT-services
  • System integration und interoperability
  • Clinical pathways and business process optimization
  • Patient centric organisation and IT-support
  • Telematics, electronic health card and patient records
  • Mobile technologies for e-health applications
  • Data privacy and data security of e-health applications
  • Patient empowerment und patient portals
  • Consumerism
