Track 3:  IS-Architecture

For an increasing number of companies, the ability to adapt their processes, their software systems and even their business models to an ever changing economy has become pivotal for staying competitive. This recommends information systems architectures that are thoroughly aligned to the business and that can be efficiently adapted to changing requirements. At the same time, the increasing complexity of IS architectures creates additional challenges to IT management. While new paradigms such as SOA are intended to promote flexible architectures, their integration with existing architectures remains a demanding task. This track addresses the entire spectrum of designing, managing and evaluating IS architectures comprising all architectural layers from strategy and organization through software and IT infrastructure.

Possible topics:
  • Methods and principles for the design of service oriented IS architectures
  • MDA (model driven architecture) in the context of information systems
  • Documentation and analysis of IS architectures
  • Meta models and tools for IS architecture design and analysis
  • Evaluation of IS architecture design and evolution
  • Methods for IS architecture planning and controlling
  • Integration concepts for service oriented IS architectures
  • IS architectures for IT/business alignment
  • IS architecture management cases
  • IS architectures and ITIL
