Track 40: Telecommunication
This tracks deals with TIMES (Telecommunication, Information Technology, Media, Entertainment, Security) convergence and discusses theoretical and practical implications from a telecommunications point of view. The challenges and opportunities of convergent systems are reference points for a variety of questions in the fields of contentproduction, contentdistribution, usability and security as well as multimediamanagement, value chain management, revenue management (and the look for "killer applications") standardisation to name just a few examples. This track will try to evaluate the concept of convergence as a theoretical framework and in relation to practical problems such as mobile TV, mobile Business VoIP, IPTV, IPv6, triple play a.s.o.
